Deleting your Federal Retirement Planner account
Federal Retirement Planner is published by Haug Enterprises, LLC, DBA Revenx and operates Federal Employee Advisor Network and Federal Pension Advisors.
Delete your account in the app
- Open Federal Retirement Planner and sign in.
- Go to Your plan.
- Tap Delete my account.
- Type DELETE MY ACCOUNT to confirm, then tap Delete my account.
Deletion happens immediately. There is no waiting period, and it cannot be undone.
If you cannot sign in
Email info@revenx.com from the email address on the account, with the subject Delete my account.
We may ask you to confirm a detail from your account first, so that nobody can delete an account that is not theirs. We will complete the request within 30 days and email you when it is done.
What is deleted
- Your name, email address and phone number
- The answers you gave — date of birth, salary, years of service, retirement age and marital status
- Your pension estimate and any saved report
- Any documents you uploaded, including the files themselves
- Any link you were sent to view your report, which stops working
- Your sign-in account
- Anything the app remembered on your phone, so the app opens blank
What is not deleted
If you booked an appointment with one of our advisers, the booking record keeps your name, email address and phone number. You made that booking; it is a separate arrangement with the adviser, and deleting your app account does not remove it.
If you became a client of one of our advisers, their client record is not affected. That is an advisory relationship, and your adviser may be required by their own regulator to keep records of it. End it with the adviser directly.
If we already held your details from somewhere other than the app — you filled in a form elsewhere, or asked to be contacted through another route — that record came from a separate request and is not deleted here.
In every one of these cases, you will not be contacted again. See below.
What we keep, and why
We do not keep anything that identifies you from the account itself. Three things remain.
A record that you gave consent, and when. When you asked for a retirement estimate you agreed to be contacted about it. We keep the date, and the wording you were shown. We are required to be able to show that contact was permitted at the time it happened, and deleting that record would destroy the evidence for a period when it was.
A scrambled copy of your email address and phone number. These are put through a one-way process that cannot be reversed. They cannot be read, displayed, or used to contact you. Their only purpose is to be checked before we send you a text message, so that you are left alone.
A record that a request was made, with no name, email address or phone number attached to it.
How long we keep it
The scrambled email address and phone number are kept indefinitely. A suppression record with an expiry date would stop working on the day it expired, which would defeat its purpose.
The consent record is kept for 5 years, and is then deleted.
Coming back
If you later decide you would like an estimate again, you are welcome to. Nothing here prevents you from using Federal Retirement Planner in future — you would simply be starting fresh, and anything you tell us then replaces what came before.
